I got my first ticket ever…for riding my bike on the sidewalk?! Who knew that was even a law?! In Michigan we are told to stay on the sidewalks and its all fine…Well I tried to explain to the officer who I thought was friendly as he crossed the road that I wasn’t from NYC and honestly didn’t know. Also that I had just got ff the road riding for only about 20 feet right here in front of my apartment that he saw me pulling my keys out of my bag for as he “pulled me over”. And not even a warning? No, he just had to “do his job”…
